Hand and Foot App Reviews

Terrible

I download this game because I love to play it with actual cards but this app doesnt play by the rules. The red 3s are worth 100 points not trash. Not to mention the interface is horrible. Dont waste your $2. I wish I could get a refund.

Disappointed

Virtual players only. (Which is how they described it after I re-read the description). Blah. Needs real players.

Fun game

I dont get the negative reviews, I think this game is a blast. Works well for me. Not the same rules I play by with my friends, but it is still a lot of fun. I think it is well worth the money.

Hand and foot my take

Bugs are still there It is a fun game but very buggy Sometimes loses score at end of game Sometimes will get caught in a loop if you quit when someone else goes out

Great game very enjoyable

I so like playing this game and recommend it to all who enjoy cards.

Waste of money

What a waste of $$!! I have never been so disappointed in a game! Wish I could get a refund!! Dont waste your $$ !!

Not sure about this...

The rules are all sorts of off, gameplay had some big problems, but the concept is still there. So its fun...

Super fun!!!

I think this app us great. I gave not found it to be glitchy at all. Some have said that the computer cheats and I have not seen that at all. I think some are frustrated because it does follow the "house rules" they are accustom to. But the rules are very clear and I have had no issues! Worth the money!

Updates have helped.

There was an update a while ago that really helped this program, and theres another update today that I havent had a chance to try out yet. The programmers have done a great job over all with a really difficult game to put into an app! I have spent many wonderful hours playing this app, even with its limitations. I cant wait to see what the new update will bring. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication and for listening to our recommendations!!! Nancy

Worth the $ 1.99!

Ive been playing this for a couple of years and its not perfect or like the way I play with friends. But great to have when there isnt anybody available to play. I dont like the last upgrade, it took away the cheat option...I won more with it. I also wish it allowed for playing partners but for $1.99...its a deal! I am wondering if you are gonna fix the bug that takes extra cards out of my hand when I have picked up out of the discard pile then discover I dont have enough points to meld and try to backup...lose cards from my hand that were mine before I picked up!!!

New version of an old time game

This app is great - now I can still play an old favorite version of canasta, when my friends have forgotten (or refuse) to play it with me.

Great game and app

Recently learned how to play this game and so sought out an app to practice strategy. Found there to be a few different rules than I learned. In app can play cards on completed stack; can place wild card on a completed stack, some card points are different. I think the computer player is playing cards right after opening their foot, and I cannot. Must wait to the next turn. Been playing every night before lights out. Well worth the $1.99.

Very frustrating

While I would not say my money was wasted, I am totally frustrated that the virtual opponents ALWAYS get the best cards and always win. I may win a hand, but I never win a round. That is unfair. In the real world, the opponents would not have the advantage if playing fair.

Learn by playing

Friends taught us the game a few years ago. Played since with others. The rules vary when played with humans. This app allows you to learn by playing. Moving up to play Expert reduces your chances to get a high score. This app gives you the tools to learn how to play, skillfully. This is my goal in using this app - most any app.

Different "rules"

I am enjoying this app, and have played Hand and Foot in "real" life. I find it interesting that those "players" on this app have different rules than I do. If I take from the discard pile, I get the next 4 cards from the discard pile. If one of the other "players" takes from the discard pile, they get 4 new cards. Id pick up if I didnt know how many red 3s were in the cards I was getting. Also, I have to have 2 of a card in my hand to pick up, but the other "players" can pick up at any time. And...the other "players" can be out of cards, but NOT out of the game if they have not fulfilled their books. If I try to do same, I get told I cant do that. Can I switch places with those other "players" lol But I do find that I have to use more strategy and be aware of my game especially since there is no talking or interaction like playing for real. If it werent for the differences in the rules, which is confusing at times, Id have given it 5 stars. Id also like to have the option to play partners as I have done in real life. For the money, it helps me work on my skills.

Hand and foot

If you hit undo instead of rearrange your cards you do not get back all your cards.....

Love the game but NOT your rigged app

Youve fixed your randomizer, but now you have a new glitch. When I try to play a Joker as my last card before a discard it keeps telling me its not fulfilling a minimum meld. EVEN when the meld phase is long past and WAS met. Fix that please. Thank you.

Mad

Like the game but very tired of the AI cheating if you fix it maybe give a 5

Does not work with ios9 on iPhone 4s

Loved the app until it stopped working after I upgraded my iPhone 4s to ios9. I sent an email but have had no response.

Pretty good game

Yes there are a ton of different rules depending on where you live. Its pretty close to how I learned. Still has a few glitches. Sometimes a card will just get stuck in the middle of the screen and you cant get it back. Ive discovered its if you are trying to place it and a second finger touches the screen. Seems to confuse it. It sometimes claims I cant put a wild card down when I should be able to. There are more real cards then jokers for example. I think it plays air. I win about 50/50.
